Since 1999, Rollers has supported the projects building regional Australia. What began in Tamworth with a handful of machines is now a fleet of over 600 units working out of depots across New South Wales and Queensland, still family-owned.
The problem was never capability. It was legibility. To a contractor scanning suppliers, Rollers looked like every other hire company, and what actually set it apart, wet hire with ticketed operators, audited compliance, depots with decision-makers on the phone, stayed invisible until someone rang. That left price as the only ground to compete on.
The strategy moved Rollers onto specialisation, and the identity takes its logic from the equipment: an “R” where a curved upper form reads as the drum and a flat base as the road it shapes, with a pattern lifted from the working face of a padfoot. Orange carries the visibility, charcoal and khaki green hold the discipline. Industrial, without the usual construction clichés.
The website extends the same system into a clean modular grid: repeatable blocks, generous space and a strict Aeonik hierarchy that lets dense technical content sit calmly on the page. It is bold where boldness earns attention, in the headline type, the orange and the full-bleed site photography, and deliberately restrained everywhere else. The padfoot pattern returns as texture rather than decoration, adding depth between sections without ever competing with the message. Confident, never loud, and built to stay legible on a phone in a site office.
The outcome is a brand that finally reads as what Rollers already was: specialised, compliant, accountable. Not another hire company.
