AOC 2020 Magazine
The Australian Olympic Committee is the National Olympic Committee responsible for developing, promoting and protecting the Olympic Movement in Australia.
Made Agency’s art direction, design and development were engaged to produce this year’s AOC “I AM MORE” Magazine with the concept behind this editorial strongly aligned with the Olympic brand’s unique strengths that engages the Olympian community beyond the boundaries of sport, focusing on the Olympian’s journey, the pursuit of passion, triumph over adversity and the desire to be the best one can be – In sport and In life.
The AOC “I AM MORE” Magazine represents a coherent AOC Brand identity with an intense modern edge utilising the AOC’s classic ‘Gold” with sea blues to complement and create a contemporary active colour palette. The conceptual design direction is the transition between past and present. Black and white photography is used to create cohesion in the magazine whilst also representing historical moments. The breathtaking bold powerful photography that feature past Australian Olympians, art directed by Made Agency on location in Sydney, Melbourne and Los Angeles’ vast and open sand dunes represents a bold contrast between the Olympic Stadiums of times past which embraces the AOC Brand values and redefines the now and allows the editorial “I AM MORE” overall direction, tone of voice to become prominent.
